Engineers Without BordersTM – USA (EWB-USA) is a non-profit organization that partners with disadvantaged communities around the world to improve their quality of life through implementation of environmentally, equitable, and economically sustainable engineering projects.  Examples of past EWB–USA projects include the design and construction of water, waste-water, sanitation, energy, medical storage/dispensary, solar panels to power school computers, and shelter systems. These projects are initiated by and completed with the host community, which is trained to operate the systems without external assistance. In this way, EWB-USA ensures that its projects are appropriate and self-sustaining.

The San Francisco Chapter of Engineers Without Borders (EWB-SFP) recognizes that other capable organizations are also actively working to assist communities in need, but that they might need assistance in answering technology based questions.  In an effort to assist organizations who are working toward a common goal of assisting communities in need, EWB-SFP is offering to research these engineering or technology based questions. It is our hope that providing this information will be beneficial to those engaged in missions similar to those of EWB and will assist them in reaching their mission objective.  We will not research questions for profit based nor home improvement type projects.

This questionnaire should be used to submit questions to the San Francisco Chapter of EWB. Please complete this questionnaire and return it to outreach@ewb-sfp.org.
